Festival Internacional de M\u00fasica BRAGAN\u00c7A CLASSIC FEST<\/h1>

5\u00aa edi\u00e7\u00e3o, 2025<\/b>
<\/b><\/p>

Em 2025, ano em que celebra a sua 5.\u00aa edi\u00e7\u00e3o, o Festival Internacional de M\u00fasica\u00a0Bragan\u00e7a Classic Fest<\/b>\u00a0prossegue a sua miss\u00e3o de acesso democr\u00e1tico \u00e0 excel\u00eancia art\u00edstica. Desde 2021, o Festival tem proporcionado concertos memor\u00e1veis, esgotados por um p\u00fablico entusiasta e multigeracional, com a presen\u00e7a de algumas das melhores orquestras internacionais \u2013 de Viena, Paris, S\u00e3o Petersburgo, Veneza -, de grandes nomes da cena musical mundial \u2013 Anna Samuil, G\u00e9rard Causs\u00e9, Diana Tischenko, Mario Hossen, Pascal Moragu\u00e8s, Victor Julien-Laferri\u00e8re, entre outros -, bem como de artistas incontorn\u00e1veis do panorama nacional \u2013 como Ant\u00f3nio Victorino d\u2019Almeida, Pedro Caldeira Cabral e Sete L\u00e1grimas \u2013 e de alguns dos maiores talentos das novas gera\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>

Between 27 September and 11 October<\/b>, Bragan\u00e7a once again becomes the epicenter of classical music with the 5th Bragan\u00e7a Classic Fest, nationally and internationally recognized as a landmark cultural event, celebrating musical excellence in community and contributing to the vitality and development of a unique region, full of charm and potential.<\/p>

One of the major highlights of this edition is the decentralization of the program<\/b> within the Municipality of Bragan\u00e7a: the Opening Concert will take place at the Basilica of Santo Cristo de Outeiro, a national monument since 1927 and the only basilica located in a Portuguese village. On 27 September, the prestigious ensemble Arte Minima<\/b>, under the direction of Pedro Sousa Silva<\/b>, will present the program The Golden Age of Portuguese Music<\/i>, dedicated to composers of the 16th and 17th centuries.<\/p>

Also for the first time, the Teatro Municipal de Bragan\u00e7a<\/b> will host three major orchestral concerts. Two of them will be performed by the Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica do Principado das Ast\u00farias<\/b> (OSPA), returning to the Festival after the great success achieved in 2023. Under the direction of its principal conductor, Nuno Coelho<\/b>, OSPA will be the protagonist of the World Music Day Concert on 1 October, featuring the Overture to Mozart\u2019s opera The Magic Flute<\/i> and Beethoven\u2019s famous \u201cEroica\u201d Symphony, thus continuing the complete cycle of symphonies by the \u201cgenius of Bonn\u201d initiated in the Festival\u2019s 3rd edition. On 2 October, the program will present two masterpieces of Musical Romanticism: Schubert\u2019s \u201cUnfinished\u201d Symphony and Beethoven\u2019s Triple Concerto.<\/p>

Another highly anticipated moment is the concert on 11 October by the Orquestra Philharmonia Frankfurt<\/b>, performing in Portugal for the first time, under the direction of conductor Juri Gilbo<\/b> and featuring soloist Vladislav Lavrik<\/b>, one of the leading trumpeters of today, also making his debut in our country \u2013 thus closing the Festival on a high note.<\/p>

Among the outstanding musicians of this edition are the Swiss violinist Esther Hoppe<\/b>, who will perform on her 1722 Stradivarius \u201cDe Ahna\u201d violin, the Norwegian violist Lars Anders Tomter<\/b>, and the Swiss cellist Christian Polt\u00e9ra<\/b>, who will take centre stage in the concert by the renowned DSCH Schostakovich Ensemble<\/b> on 4 October.<\/p>

The Festival further strengthens the dialogue between Music and Heritage<\/b>\u2014a defining hallmark of the Classic Fest since its first edition\u2014with three concerts at the Church of S\u00e3o Francisco: on 3 October, the Ensemble L\u2019Amoureux Empire<\/b> (1st Prize in Baroque Music at the Pr\u00e9mio Jovens M\u00fasicos 2024) presents a programme dedicated to the Italian Baroque repertoire; on 9 October, the Quartz Quintet<\/b>, led by the Bragan\u00e7a-born violinist David Seixas<\/b>, offers a musical journey from Piazzolla to the 21st century; and on 10 October, the Juventus Ensemble<\/b> unveils a programme featuring two masterpieces of chamber music, Dvo\u0159\u00e1k\u2019s \u201cAmerican\u201d Quartet and Schumann\u2019s Piano Quintet.<\/p>

In parallel, the Bragan\u00e7a Classic Fest continues to develop its educational axis<\/b>, promoting masterclasses at the Bragan\u00e7a Conservatory of Music and Dance and open rehearsals at the Municipal Theatre, aimed at musicians and students from the region.<\/p>
