Capuchos<\/strong> is recognized as one of Portugal\u2019s leading cultural events. It takes its name from the <strong data-start=\"169\" data-end=\"194\">Convento dos Capuchos<\/strong>, built in 1558 and located within the <strong data-start=\"233\" data-end=\"301\">Protected Landscape of the Fossil Cliff of the Costa de Caparica<\/strong>, in the municipality of Almada, where most of the festival\u2019s concerts are held.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><p data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"321\">The <strong data-start=\"46\" data-end=\"81\">Festival de M\u00fasica dos Capuchos<\/strong> was founded in 1980 by Jos\u00e9 Adelino Tacanho and Ant\u00f3nio Wagner Diniz. The series has already welcomed guests such as Ant\u00f3nio Mega Ferreira, Helena Roseta, Ant\u00f3nio Feij\u00f3, Pedro Mexia, Jorge Vaz de Carvalho, Joana Matos Frias, Fernando Pinto do Amaral, Guilherme de Oliveira Martins, Nuno J\u00fadice, H\u00e9lia Correia, \u00c1lvaro Laborinho L\u00facio, among others. In 2021, the series focused on Dante Alighieri, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Charles Baudelaire; in 2022, it highlighted Agustina Bessa-Lu\u00eds, Marcel Proust, and Lu\u00eds Vaz de Cam\u00f5es; and in 2023, it honored M\u00e1rio Cesariny de Vasconcelos, Nat\u00e1lia Correia, and Eug\u00e9nio de Andrade.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><p data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"290\">In 2023, the <strong data-start=\"55\" data-end=\"90\">Festival de M\u00fasica dos Capuchos<\/strong> inaugurated its educational component with the launch of the <strong data-start=\"152\" data-end=\"182\">Masterclasses dos Capuchos<\/strong>, led by professors from the conservatories of Paris, Salzburg, and Lucerne. Also in 2023, a series of pre-concert talks, called <strong data-start=\"311\" data-end=\"337\">Prel\u00fadios dos Capuchos<\/strong>, was presented for the first time, moderated by Jo\u00e3o Almeida.
