The VER\u00c3O CL\u00c1SSICO on tour<\/em> is an initiative aimed at bringing the musical excellence of the VER\u00c3O CL\u00c1SSICO Festival and Academy, held annually in Lisbon since 2015, to various cities in Portugal and abroad, through concerts and masterclasses.<\/p>

The VER\u00c3O CL\u00c1SSICO Festival and Academy is considered both nationally and internationally one of the most important and sought-after summer festivals and academies. With its dual performance and educational focus, VER\u00c3O CL\u00c1SSICO annually presents concerts and masterclasses in Lisbon, led by musicians and professors from some of the world\u2019s most prestigious educational institutions, as well as soloists from leading orchestras, including the Conservatories and Music Schools of Berlin, Moscow, Paris, London, Brussels, Boston, Oslo, Cologne, Geneva, Lausanne, and Madrid, and orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Bavarian Radio Orchestra, and Orchestre de Paris, among others.\u00a0<\/p>

Among the renowned musicians who have collaborated with VER\u00c3O CL\u00c1SSICO since its foundation are Gary Hoffman, Pascal Moragu\u00e8s, Imogen Cooper, Emily Beynon, Radek Babor\u00e1k, Eldar Nebolsin, Mihaela Martin, Frans Helmerson, Benjamin Schmid, Stephan Picard, Miguel da Silva, G\u00e9rard Causs\u00e9, Veronika Hagen, Adrian Brendel, Janne Saksala, Matthew MacDonald, Jack Liebeck, Ram\u00f3n Ortega-Quero, Nicholas Daniel, Silvia Careddu, and Anna Samuil.\u00a0<\/p>

Over eight editions, more than 1,000 young musicians from dozens of nationalities have participated in VER\u00c3O CL\u00c1SSICO, several of whom have been awarded the VER\u00c3O CL\u00c1SSICO Prizes, offering them concert opportunities within festivals and music seasons in Portugal.\u00a0<\/p>

VER\u00c3O CL\u00c1SSICO thus promotes the training and public performance of young talents, encouraging and supporting them in building their careers while simultaneously fostering cultural exchange among participants of diverse nationalities. For Portuguese students, it provides a platform within their own country to develop their artistic level and offers an exceptional opportunity to learn from some of the world\u2019s most prestigious international professors, leading authorities on their instruments.<\/p>

The VER\u00c3O CL\u00c1SSICO Festival and Academy was created by pianist Filipe Pinto-Ribeiro, who serves as its artistic and pedagogical director.<\/p>

The 9th edition of the VER\u00c3O CL\u00c1SSICO Festival and Academy will take place from 17 to 29 July 2023, in Lisbon.<\/p><\/div>
