The 12th edition of the VERÃO CLÁSSICO Masterclasses will take place from 20 July to 1 August 2026, in Lisbon, with the participation of musicians and professors from some of the world’s most prestigious international music institutions.

Primarily intended for music students and teachers, the VERÃO CLÁSSICO 2026 Masterclasses will be held at the Escola Artística de Música do Conservatório Nacional and the Escola Secundária Marquês de Pombal (address: Rua Alexandre de Sá Pinto 85, 1349-003 Lisbon), where practice and rehearsal rooms will be available to participants.

For the 2026 edition, world-renowned professors from conservatories and universities in Berlin, Vienna, Madrid, Munich, Paris, Oslo, Lausanne, Copenhagen, and Salzburg have already been confirmed:

All Masterclass participants are eligible for the VERÃO CLÁSSICO Awards, adjudicated by the faculty members. These awards, in the form of concert engagements within festivals and concert seasons in Portugal, play an important role in encouraging and recognising the talent and work demonstrated by participants during VERÃO CLÁSSICO.

VERÃO CLÁSSICO thus promotes both the artistic training and public presentation of young talents, encouraging and supporting them in the development of their careers, while simultaneously fostering cultural exchange among participants of different nationalities. For Portuguese students, it offers a platform within their own country to further develop their artistic level and the exceptional opportunity to learn from some of the most distinguished professors.

The educational dimension of VERÃO CLÁSSICO is complemented by its performance programme, the Music Festival, which presents concerts featuring major works from the 18th to the 21st centuries: four MasterFest concerts, featuring the professors, and six TalentFest concerts, performed by selected young musicians.
